The Dj Bubbles Birthday Celebration & Roots 96.1 FM Fundraiser April 21 2018

Greetings and blessed love Island Beats is writing to remind you that we are 5 days away from the first time ever community fundraising event in Toronto to donate all proceeds to the Roots 96.1 FM radio station in Jamaica which is a community based station owned and operated by a non profit organization called the Mustard Seed Communities.

Although operational strictly based on donations which can be sporadic Roots 96.1 Fm has opened its doors and airwaves to many Canadian Reggae icons such as Michie Mee, Tasha Tee, Empress Minott, and, Canadian Juno Award winning Exco Levi.

Their continued generosity to musicians who travel to Jamaica from near and far does not change despite the radio's difficulty.

Beautiful Bold Womn's Outreach Performance INC has organized this fundraiser in combination with the Dj Bubbles Birthday Celebration & Roots 965.1 FM fundraiser without grants or funding to give back to a radio station stemming from our roots in Jamaica.

The legendary reggae icon Yami Bolo will be head lining this worthy cause and will be joined by other Canadian artists such as Juno award winning Korexxion, Empress Divine, Jimmy Reid and more.

Show time is at 9 PM inside the newly renovated Sankofa Bar & Restaurant located at 1653 Eglinton Avenue West.

The door cover is $15 and the proceeds made at the door will be donated to Roots 96.1 FM.

We hope to see the reggae community and other residents in the community attend as a way to give back to our community in Jamaica to help upgrade their equipment to keep Roots 96.1 FM up and running so that they can continue to be a pillar and haven to international artist to let their talent be heard free of monetary compensation when traveling to Jamaica.

You are also free to purchase your tickets in advance at event brite:

We are looking forward to seeing you all there on Saturday April 21, 2018 as you join us give back to our Jamaican community.

One love,

Island Beats.
