JCDC 2018 Jamaica Festival Song Finalist - Rojjah Mendez

Rojjah Mendez was one of the finalist for the JCDC 2018 Jamaica Festival song. Rojjah entered into the competition with his song I Love Jamaica. Although the winner was Nazzleman Rojjah's track I Love Jamaica is still ringing in the ears of the people as the song was a phenomenal hit.

Rojjah isn’t only successful when it comes to belting out tunes; he also plays the guitar and drums. At 19 years old, he began to write and record his own music. He has performed on shows including Reggae Sumfest, Jazz & Blues Festival, Soul in the Sun and Jazz in the Gardens. Rojjah has also gotten the opportunity to tour internationally with Michael Bolton, Maxie Priest, Freddie Jackson and Regina Bell. His philosophy is “Love conquers all, Love is the master of the universe.”

Rojjah was featured singing a capella his lover’s rock breakout single “Never” on the Travel Channel’s Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches, in Jamaica on Thursday, March 26th.

The track "Never" as well as his other tracks from his most recent album is available on itunes.com andcdbaby.com.

Enjoying a beautiful sunny day on a beach in Jamaica, Rojjah was naturally singing to himself his new song “Never”. Little did he know, the film crew of the Travel Channel’s new show, Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches were overhearing his lovely melody and slowly falling in love with it, becoming mesmerized by Rojja’s rich voice and soulful singing. Only requiring a few moments to be enamored and captivated by his song, the film crew requested that Rojjah “sing it again” for the new show.

Happily, Rojjah obliged and that was the genesis of Rojjah making his debut of his track Never on this show and chumming it up with Bridget on a party bus in Jamaica. What a charmed life…
